The testing and certification of component conformity is of paramount important, and a recent overhaul of our facilities has now completed.
The main laboratory has been totally rebuilt providing the ideal clean and modern environment in which to carry out detailed metallurgic testing, and provide our customers with the required Certificates of Conformity
We have also reorganised and streamlined the area where finished components are prepared prior to testing in the laboratory.
In addition we have also refurbished and re-equipped the Eddycurrent testing room and staff locker room, all designed to improve the workplace environment and increase the efficiency within the company.
If you would like to know more about the capability of our testing facilities please call 01484 850361 and ask for our Technical Department.
Following on from the purchase of two 7-10 kHz machines in 2010 we have now installed a new 450 kHz machine.
The demand for hardening components to a shallower case depth has driven this latest addition to our induction hardening capability.
Installed in our Meltham factory the new equipment is already hard at work processing customer components.
If you would like to discuss your induction hardening requirements please phone us on 01484 850361 and ask for Customer Support or Technical Department.
We already shot peen components for a number of customers utilising both wheel and air nozzle machines.
The increasing demand for this process which gives components significant performance benefits has led us to purchase additional equipment to increase our capacity.
The latest shot peening addition is a 3 axis directional air nozzle machine manufactured by Ventus. This machine enables us to shot peen larger and more complex components and has significantly reduced our lead times for processing existing components.
If you would like to discuss the benefits of shot peening or would like us to quote for peening your components, please call 01484 850361 and ask for our Technical Department.
Have you seen them yet!
We’ve already received numerous phone calls and comments from customers and the general public admiring the new livery on our trucks.
The livery was an extension of the branding exercise we undertook recently with Washhouse Design and with the addition of a series of cherished number plates the vehicle fleet is certainly getting noticed.
The purpose of the vehicle fleet is to collect and return components to our customers, reducing lead times and leaving customers free to get on with their main activities.
If you would like to discuss our collection arrangements please call 01484 850361 and ask for Customer Services.

We are delighted to announce the acquisition of two additional machines to expand our induction hardening capability. The equipment which was manufactured in Germany during 2006 has been installed and commissioned in our Meltham facility. The machines were purchased from a major customer who had utilised the equipment to process shafts for the European automotive industry.
The equipment which can utilise both scanning and single shot processing adds significantly to our expanding induction hardening capability.
The first machine has a 300kW power supply operating at a frequency of 7 to 10 kHz. The second machine has a 500kW power supply and also operates at a frequency of 7 to 10 kHz.
The equipment is ideally suited to process gears and shafts and we would be delighted to talk to you about any requirements you may have.
